Graham Govan

Born and raised in Glasgow’s West End, Graham plied his trade as a photographer for twenty years before attending
Glasgow School of Art (1997-2000), with a subsequent period of study at Dundee Contemporary Arts Print Studio.
In his Fine Art practice, the camera lens is Graham’s tool of choice for capturing the soft evening light
as it falls through his studio window onto a loose arrangement of dried flower stems or a single radiant petal
approaching the end of its natural life. The images resulting from this process are printed, in limited editions,
onto fine art papers and mounted on acid free conservation board which guarantees their longevity.
Graham has had solo exhibitions in Scotland and has been involved in group shows throughout the UK.
His work is featured in many private collections.
